Bhrigu Reading- A Case Study A Case Study

(It is an interesting and a fascinatingly true account of Bhrigu readings for K.Saigal, IAS (retd) who has been consulting me since 1978. The other day when he met me and talked of Bhrigu, he offered to write himself his experiences with such reading. It then is a first hand account of the beauty, and brilliance of Bhrigu reading. KN Rao)

The method by which the reading is given is that a birth chart of the person concerned is prepared and compared with charts already written and available and, if a match is found then the reading is done and it is seen if it falls. The present reading was obtained by the parents (mother and father) of the concerned person and given below is a concise reading of what is in what was read out.

The reading is in two parts. The first part is by divine knowledge and the second according to the planets and their dispositors. The comments on the reading are at the end of this note.

The Reading according to Divine Wisdom (Bramha Vidya)

Bhriguji please give the astrological reading of the subject so that it leads to his welfare:

Bhriguji said:

The karma of the Yoga according to the planets is Buddhi Shadrava. In his life previous to this birth the subject was a khastirya , he was poor and died of the age of 34 where he got this body. This I know though Atma-yoga. Three lives earlier he was living in a town whose name begins with 'Ka' on the river Ganga. He was a very rich person famous and highly respected. I am seeing all his lives: sometimes as Shudha, sometimes as khastirya, sometimes as Brahmin. The same soul is in this life known as Krishna and his father's name starts with 'Da'. This reading will be the result of his father and mother asking for it and will be and obtained when he is 27. The person was born in the middle of Magha (January-February) is 'Shukla Paksha' on Tuesday in a town whose name begin with 'La' between the names Satlaj and the Yamuna. The subject will get distinction in Electrical Engineering will not work as an engineer. He will be an administrator of the Central Government and will work in 'Kamakshi (Assam). This is because in his previous life he had done a 'Pooja Karma' ( righteous deed) because of which he is born in a good family and has a good position (status) in life. In this life happens is limited and therefore in my treatise I have stressed on taking the name of the lord (Hari naam) and giving away in charity (loan). The subject will get a very high position in life and enjoy many kinds of happiness.

Now what I have to say according to the planetary disposition (Graha yoga).

Leading according to Graha Yoga

Rahu, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and the Mars are the givers of Raj yog to the subject. But due to a 'Papa-karma' (wrong deed) done in a previous life he is not getting the full benefit of there Raja yoga planets. Due to this 'Pap karma' their will be obstacles in his career as well as a possibility of his not living his full life. But if he does my mantra (Om hrim shring prashtmaya namah) he will live his full life and live his whole life in comfort. He is soon going to get happiness from her wife whose name begging with 'sha' and who is because if his connection with in a previous life. However she could have abortion and 30 through a great deal of trouble and for which I will preside a remedy immediate (a herbal medicine was preceded and taken on the nommited days). Taking of his medicine by both husband and wife will ensure long life for both of these and also save the subject from blood pressure and diabetes (similar medicine was also preceded of the ages of 55, 57 and 58 and were daily taken).

Finer the age of 32 and 32 there will be a ... rise in service. The subject will have complete happiness from his father and mother. He has also has complete happiness from his brother who are younger than him and all are born into good yogas.

At ages 34 and 35 he will get a new direction in his career and at ages 40, 41 and 42 a false charge will be levelled against him which will stand in the way of his advancement. But then change will be found to false and he will attain a very high position between the ages of 47 and 51.

The son born at the age of 32 will be very fortunate and being great ... to the family. At the age of 29 the subject will work in the development field and will go from the place to author. The subject will also go again go across the seas.

Between the age of 40 and 43 there will be trouble for the wife and many also have to undergo an operation I have given this reading to increase his age as well as his painter (youth) so that he gets as much happens in this world as is possible. I have mentioned this is my 55 sutras also. Oh shuka by taking refuge in who has created this all ".this will be obliterated." (results of karma) is ......

Postscript

The reading of the of subject father was also given by Bhriguji. In that it was entered that the subjects life was in danger from the weapon due to a part bad (the subject was then an administrator in fills) but if the name of the service immediate viz. However Vibhishan, yoga, rajyoga, Markandeya, some Kartbe and Ashw-Thana, was taken first this is for 21 days the danger would be gone. The subject was in danger of being ambushed but was not hurt and sooon ofter doing the prescribed mantra was transferred to Naga Hills.

Conclusion

According to the theory of Karma are settled at birth, viz., place of birth, planets, partner in life, education, status and death. In the present case four of them are in the Brahma Vidya place of birth, parentage, education and while the first is in the Graha yoga, part. Death is left with mantras being given to extend it. It is in the Graha yoga part. All the reading is said to be controllable by taking refuge in the lord in chanting His Name (Hari naam japa) and giving in charity (daan). The raison'de'tre' of the reading seems not much to forecast the future but to give indications as to has to maximise happiness through submission to the Lord chanting His name and giving to charity. This is why astrology is often referred to as the eye of the Veda.

All forecasts by Bhriguji were correct except the son to be born at age 32. As regards the predicted mishap none occurred due to the subject chanting the name of the Lord, complete faith in the Lord and the giving of daan.

The Difference Between Astronomy and Astrology

Astronomy and astrology have not been related for centuries. Astronomy is simply the observation and measurement of celestial bodies, while astrology is an attempt to find some sort of "meaning" or "influence" in the planetary positions. The interesting thing, though, is that astrology, which gave birth to astronomy, has been out of date with the actual sky for most of modern history. Oddly enough, considering that astrology has to do with planetary movements, astrologers no longer look at the sky, and haven't for hundreds of years. No one ever bothered, over the years, to update or correct the various charts and tables from which astrological readings were made. There was finally an attempt to correct all the various charts just a few years ago, but it wasn't very successful. For this reason, no modern astronomer will ever be an astrologer, simply because the data used by astrologers bears no relation to what is actually seen in the sky.

Let's grab a wide-angle lens from our eyepiece case and have a look at the bigger picture. Whether astrological predictions are correct or not is somewhat irrelevant. More significant issues involving astronomy vs astrology are these:

Astronomy is a science that compels us to seek beyond ourselves and our small world, a science of discovery that enriches our lives by exercising our brain and our intellect. It empowers you to think clearly and rationally. It improves and sharpens critical thinking skills.

Astrology disempowers you. By placing your future in the accidental configuration of planets and stars, you avoid taking responsibility for your actions, you fail to make decisions based on your own best self interest, and you give up the power to control your own destiny.

It's the sheer fascination for space and the possibilities of worlds beyond our own and a science beyond our current understanding that encourages the astronomer to think outside the box and develop his or her intellect to the fullest.

To the astrologer, planetary movements are interesting only because they are believed to be significant to personal life events. Can you see why an astronomer would consider this tantamount to wearing blinders? Of course, it can easily be demonstrated that astrological predictions have very little connection with real events beyond what is statistically coincidental. To believe otherwise requires strong emotional, not logical, reasons, and requires significant self-deception, ignoring the facts, and an absence of logical thought processes.

Belief in astrology results in a degradation of critical thinking skills, which, combined with the loss of power to control your own destiny, can only serve to degrade your life, not enrich it.

Carl Sagan wrote : "Some of science is very simple. When it gets complicated, that's usually because the world is complicated, or we're complicated. When we shy away from it because it seems too difficult, or because we've been taught so poorly, we surrender the ability to take charge of our future." (The Demon Haunted World, Ballantine, 1996, p29).

Be in charge of your life. Experience the mystery, awe, and excitement of observational astronomy. Be an astronomer, not an astrologer!

Planet Positions

Planet Positions :
Most of us are familiar with the Western system of Astrology that utilizes the planets of our Solar System and the twelve signs, or constellations -Aries, Taurus, Etc. The universe, including the solar system is constantly moving, with planets moving from one constellation to another, or changing signs. Believers in Astrology feel that each planet influences a particular aspect of life- Venus for love, Jupiter for money, etc. Furthermore, the sign/constellation in which the planet is located on a person's date and time of birth has an impact on how that person would act and react: for example, a person with Venus in Aries is said to be impulsive in love, as compared to a person with Venus in conservative Capricorn, who may be status conscious and a bit cold. The angles that the planets in a person's Astrological Chart make relative to their location have a further impact on the person's character and makeup. Jyotisha is the Hindu system of astrology. It is used primarily in India. The word derives from jyótis disjointed as "Ja"+"Ya"+"O"+"T"+"ish" to get the root meaning as "water or birth"+"in addition to" + "earth" and "stars" + "knowledgeable"-in other words, a person who is knowledgeable about birth in relation to the earth and stars. Whereas in Western Astrology it is believed that the gravitational fields and electro-magnetic forces of the planetary bodies are acting upon the individual, in Vedic Astrology, the planets themselves are "grahas", forces that seize or act upon people and influence their actions and life. Since Hindus believe in reincarnation, so there is the corresponding belief that humans have ups and downs in life because of karma, or debts from actions in past lives. Jyotish Astrology is used by many to understand the challenges in life due to the influence of planets, i.e., Navagraha and perform religious ceremonies to mitigate the bad karma. Another difference between the two systems is that the common system used in the West is based on the Tropical Zodiac,
whereas Vedic Astrology is based on the Sidereal Zodiac.

Navagraha Positions:
Navagraha loosely means "nine planets". The North Node and South Node of the Moon, known to Vedic Astrologers as Rahu and Ketu and the Sun and Moon are included in this group, and Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, the "modern planets" are excluded, probably because they were not visible to the naked eye of the ancient astronomers. The religious ceremonies most often include the use of a Yantra as a meditation tool. a Yantra is a picture, a symbolic representation of aspects of divinity. It is an interlocking matrix of geometric figures, circles, triangles and floral patterns that form fractal patterns of elegance and beauty. I have seen other symbols on Yantras as well, such as pictures or writing in Sanskrit. There are Yantras for each planetary body and for specific uses, such as attracting wealth, attracting love, preventing accidents, etc. Even though I am not Hindu, after a bad fall that left my arm permanently injured, I installed a Yantra in the corner of a room. There have been no more serious accidents in my home since its installation!

Today, Vedic Astrology is still commonly used in India to help make important decisions. In Hindu culture, newborns are traditionally named based on their jyotish charts, and jyotish concepts are pervasive in the organization of the calendar and holidays as well as in many areas of life and science. Astrology is vital to decisions made about marriage, opening a new business, and moving into a new home.
